Mike, has always enjoyed a hands-on approach to life, from youth to the present. He has been involved in outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and hiking since he was young. Mike entered the fire industry in 1986 at HUB, engaging in hands-on roles such as assembly, electrical work, brake and shear operations, welding, and paint shop activities. Over the last two decades, Mike's focus has shifted to quotations and design within the industry.

Trevor, entered the fire truck industry through a friend's recommendation and has never looked back. He finds immense joy in his work, transforming bent metal into fully functional fire trucks. Trevor, is passionate about the uniqueness of his job, reveling in the opportunity to contribute to new projects and witness the remarkable evolution of each vehicle from inception to completion.

Mike, has over 30 years in the fire truck industry. Awarded the Medal of Bravery by the Government of Canada for his heroic firefighting, Mike brings dedication and expertise to our team. His commitment to his craft is testament to his passion for firefighter safety.

Gabriel Jerry | Electrical Lead
Gabe grew up on the Sunshine Coast, where he was heavily into skateboarding, snowboarding, and backcountry adventures. Later, Gabe relocated to the big city and navigated into the automotive industry. Gabe later recognized his true passion in vehicular electronics. This led to a career shift into public safety upfitting, and now is pursuing his dream career in fire apparatus electrical design and implementation.

Jeff Mabbutt | Plastics Lead
After graduating from BCIT’s Plastics Technology program, Jeff worked in injection molding and several other related fields. He currently heads up the plastics shop at Hub, where we build the best poly water tanks in the industry.

Rob Doerksen | Paint Lead
Rob brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team with over 24 years in his trade. He is known for his friendly and easy-going demeanour. In his workspace, you can find many of the impressive air brushing and epoxy resin projects he has created in his spare time.

Shane, is a versatile member of our team. With a background in a variety of roles at Hub Fire, he brings a wealth of experience in finishing, plumbing, and fabrication. Beyond work, Shane's commitment extends to sports, including rugby and football, as well as serving as a paid on-call firefighter.

Emerson, grew up in a small town in the Philippines. He became a marine engineer and worked out in the open ocean for 5 years. He later moved to Canada in 1994 with his family and has been working with electrical systems in fire trucks ever since. With over 30 years of industry experience, Emerson enjoys what he does every day.
